Our Story

A Message: Having skin imperfections has its own beauty because each imperfection tells a story. When we look at ourselves in the mirror and feel the slightest bit of insecurity, we must always remember that self-care is confidence. Feeling good, comes after knowing that you look good, and I mean looking good in just your skin! The skin is the body’s largest outer organ and it requires a lot of care and most of the work begins within. What nutrients are you giving your skin? how much water are you consuming daily? what foods are you eating? it all counts. It is never too late or too early to start caring for your skin. Feeling good is health and health is our wealth, so we should be delicate with it.
Our Reason: The Journey began when I noticed that the products out there in the market weren’t catering to my son’s skin the way It was advertised to. At the time, my son was 3 months when I made the switch to personally hand make products for him. Due to him having super sensitive skin, it was always a battle to find the right product. He had skin discoloration and baby acne on his face, and it seemed as though the popular branded products were worsening my sons skin appearance rather than smoothing and nurturing it. I really felt that my sons skin deserved and needed to be naturally cared for and respected. I use the word ‘respected’ because creams out there in the market use a lot of different toxins, chemicals harsh preservatives and ingredients that I mostly can’t even pronounce. So, the question I kept asking myself was, “am I really respecting my son’s skin by using these products containing unknown ingredients?!”.
Why Mimaca? All our ingredients are listed, and we have absolutely nothing to hide. Remember self-care is confidence, that is why at mimaca skincare our products are handmade using 100% natural, vegan friendly ingredients. The best reassurance comes from knowing that you are looking after your skin by giving your skin the proper nutrients and care it needs to flourish.
